Record the tuition coverage, living-cost stipend, duration of support and any research expenses. Check whether the fee coverage applies to your fee status. A scholarship covering tuition alone can still leave a substantial living-cost budget.
Know the UKRI Application Route
UKRI funds universities and eligible research organisations; students apply through those organisations rather than directly to UKRI. The institution sets its own eligibility criteria. International students can usually apply, but places are limited and the advertised award’s conditions still matter.
Compare Deadlines and Decisions
A funding deadline can fall before the course deadline. Make separate entries for the course application, scholarship form, references and any departmental nomination. Do not treat an admission offer as confirmation of financial support.
